Description
Limerick
There was an old Abbot from Snape
Who was falsely accused of rape;
He said It's a lie!
All Pie in the sky,
Leapfrog's a jolly good jape.
Hic!!
Wine makes me think of weird things,
Fairy lights and dragonfly wings;
And if I lay beneath night sky
The stars come down to ask me why?
They say, "Why do you wear that grin?"
I answer, "I feel full of sin!"
The wine has made me quite insane
And left me here with addled brain,
That all around is stuff of dreams,
I see bright lanterns on moonbeams
Floating high near the Milky Way,
They light the skies bright as day.
Leprechauns and Cornish piskies
Drunk on wine and Irish whiskies.
Dreamily then, I drift in flight
I wonder, is it day or night?
Who gives a damn, I'm feeling fine;
I'll have a little more red wine. Hic!!!
