"Poetry deep from the heart of Doreen Roberts"
A lovers kiss starts with the toes,
Through legs entwined, upwards it grows,
Enfolding two bodies, ending under the nose.
A Foolish Reflection
I looked in a pool expecting to see,
A single reflection, one of me.
As the pool shimmered it reflected another,
A smiling face, 'twas the face of my lover.
I stared for a while and when at last,
I turned my eyes - I moved them fast.
To catch a glimpse of the ghostly smile,
Then I saw it was nought but guile.
I stood alone at the side of the pool,
That liquid reflection was trying to fool.
Your spirit was there, though my eyes could not see,
In my heart I knew, you were smiling at me.
